The Narragansett Inn

The Narragansett Inn, with its rolling hills and incredible Great Salt Pond views, has been an island favorite for many who want to kick back outside of the bustle of town. Perched above Payne’s Dock in New Harbor, you get views of sails and sea as you sit on the outdoor patio to enjoy a meal or a cocktail. The indoor bar is a cozy spot to sidle up and have a top-shelf drink and the food, with service both indoors and outside, is a delightful mix of finger foods, and surf and turf to sate your island appetite. The Narragansett Inn is one of a small handful of spots you won’t want to miss to take in spectacular views of the sun as it drops out of sight, bathed in a colorful swath, giving way to a bright and abundant star-filled night.

We had a most excellent meal there last night on our Anniversary. The view from the porch was amazing, the service people were very attentive and personable; they helped make our evening perfect. The prime rib was excellent and the angel hair Narragansett tossed with rock shrimp, jumbo lump crabmeat and scallops was a delicious blend of spices with just the right amount of angel hair mixed in. We have made this our top restaurant on BI.
