Like Block Island, Eli’s is a small, relaxed retreat. Their Asian-inspired comfort food and ethereal bread pudding are reason enough to board the ferry. And their long-standing staple, tuna nachos, is a tangy mix of fresh tuna, house-made nachos and aioli with seaweed salad mixed in. Eli’s has a small and cozy dining room, but reservations are not accepted. Arriving early and getting your name in the book is recommended, and you’ll know why after you enjoy your meal. The small but complete gourmand’s treasure trove of offerings. Or if you want, you can eat at the bar. That’s what most of the locals do, enjoying great conversation with the bartender and tasty wine selections.
